Saint John of God Hospital established the Dublin County Stress Clinic in 1996 and pioneered a multifaceted approach to the treatment of stress related disorders. It has treated thousands of patients successfully over the years, restoring their wellbeing. This outpatient service provides assessments and treatments for a wide range of psychiatric disorders including mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, social anxiety, panic disorders and generalized anxiety disorders. Care is delivered through an integrated team of psychologists, psychiatrists and occupational therapists.
Psychologists based in the Stress Clinic are all senior clinical psychologists with a minimum of ten years post qualification experience. They practice in general adult psychiatry but also in specialist areas such as post-traumatic stress, relationships and sexuality and anxiety disorders.
