Next Steps After Referral

Once your referral is processed, the patient will be contacted directly to arrange their appointment. You, as the referring GP, will also receive detailed information about the appointment. If the assessment indicates that inpatient care is necessary, arrangements will be made for admission to St John of God Hospital, with notifications sent to both the patient and the referring GP.
